Obertauern 2018

17 Adventurers, hardy and true, ventured across land and air to get to a ski resort called Obertauern in a new country for choose2ski – Austria! Some flew to Innsbruck. Some flew to Salzburg. Others built a bed into a van and drove all the way from London, sharing the driving and sleeping to make good time!

Of course, choose2ski couldn’t have pulled off this trip as easily as it did without help from our German speakers – step forward and take a bow, Sabrina and Wolfgang! Karin from the Alpenhotel Tauernkonig should take a bow too! Her very good English helped choose2ski to organise a successful trip – in a very good ski-in, ski-out hotel with hearty food!

Where shall we go to next year? Let's worry about that later. For now, park your car inbetween two posh cars so that you hopefully don't come back to dents on your car doors, and well, let's get going!

And that's the end of our adventure to Austria! Thank you all for coming! choose2ski wouldn't quite be choose2ski without you. And I'd have to go and organise something else :-(

For many of us, it’s another country that we can tick off the list. And we had a fantastic time!

Many of our accomplished skiers took on the S7. Both of our beginners are now officially skiers. We lost, and found, drunken skiers on the mountain that were drunkenly looking in the dark for things that they'd lost! You see, we never leave people behind.

And, as we went in late January, we decided to continue celebrating Xmas by wearing Xmas Jumpers and running our own Secret Santa! We must have been too drunk to take any pictures of us in our jumpers though. If you have any Xmas Jumper pictures, whack ‘em up on the Obertauern WhatsApp group and I’ll add them here.

For 2019, you’ll soon be able to register and have a vote on which destination you’d like to go to next!
